The Search for Nature in Urban Singapore
February 24, 2024

White Space Art Asia is proud to hold our first ever artist residency program. The theme of the residency focuses on the Singaporean ecological landscape and studies how Singaporeans incorporate nature into their city life. Well-loved Indonesian artist, Galih Suseno, will be taking field trips around Singapore to locations such as hydroponic farms and MacRitchie Reservoir to learn more about local green initiatives and practices. On a daily basis, he will translate the sights and sounds into inspirations for his paintings. Come watch Galih sketch, paint, and pipe in action at our gallery during the two weeks of his residency. There will also be a small showcase of his works and meet-and-greets at the end of his residency. The schedule of Galih’s studio sessions will be released on our Facebook page and Instagram closer to the date. Stay tuned!
