Indonesian artist Afdhal specialises in multi-dimensional storytelling that explores the themes and complexities of the human condition. Through the retelling of famous fairy tales, Afdhal immortalises the magic of these beloved stories while also imbuing them with his own sense of magical realism. With melancholia and childhood innocence as the backdrop of his works, Afdhal breathes fresh air into familiar tales with his distinct voice.
